What Working Designers Reveal About AI in Practice
Wednesday, October 14 | 10:00am (PT) | 1:00pm (ET)
Since 2007, DIELINE has anchored the packaging and branding design conversation, running the industry's own prestigious awards program along the way. This year, Adobe partnered with DIELINE to ask working designers how AI is showing up in their day-to-day work in Co-Created: A Designer-Focused Survey on the Current State of AI. The result is a close, current picture of where designers are finding real opportunity, where AI adds new friction, and how it might be changing the skills of the profession.
In this session, you'll learn:
- How Bill McCool, editor-in-chief of DIELINE, and Victoria Hollis, Senior Staff researcher at Adobe, read the survey’s most significant findings on where AI is actually showing up in creative workflows today.
- Where designers report real opportunity from generative AI, and where AI is creating friction, from output quality, to visual sameness or workflow complexity.
- How Rapha Abreu, Global Vice President of Design at The Coca-Cola Company, is building AI into the brand system itself, so designers lead, AI follows, and creative work can scale across markets without losing its soul.
Join the discussion on the challenges design teams are still working through, and where the data suggests the craft is headed beyond 2026. Register today.
